More
about What We Do
Specifically,
our team in Chicago connects
by using Boxes of Love (food for Thanksgiving), Homeless Care
Kits (needed personal items for the homeless), Resurrection Eggs
(a creative Gospel presentation for Easter), and Power Packs (school
supplies in the Fall). Thanks to generous donations, we
are able to share each of the above Compassionate
Products with other churches and ministries throughout
the city. Volunteers help distribute the items, sharing
the Gospel and praying for each recipient.
We
empower our partner
ministries with trainings for after-school programs and fund development
and by sending out college students during their Spring and Summer
breaks. We also have numerous volunteers join us throughout
the year. This type of partnership can multiply the efforts
of the churches and ministries throughout our city.
Finally,
our team develops
by using the S.A.Y. Yes! program (after-school tutoring and mentoring),
youth Bible studies, teen activities, an adult literacy program,
and Turning Point (counseling for addictions). Our desire
is to see long-term change within the lives of individuals and
families, particularly in the Roseland Community.
An
additional part of the S.A.Y. Yes! program is the greeting
card business. To read more about it, including
